The Institute of European Sport Development and Leisure Studies (IESF) offers annual summer schools for scholars, teaching staff and students from Chinese universities who have particular interests in comparative studies or transnational  research projects.

The academic short-time training program aims at offering the opportunity to become familiar with several academic approaches on Europe such as sports systems, education systems, and sport governance. In addition, leisure sport, tourism, sport management, and other academic aspects of sport studies in Germany and Europe, and academic writing as well, will be covered.

The summer school also offers a framework for further orientation on study requirements at GSU in Germany.
